Kellie Martin (born Kellie Marien) is a famous American actor. Kellie Martin has appeared in many films and TV series, including "Christy", the drama about a young woman named Christy Huddleston. Additionally, she's well-known for playing the lead role for the Hailey Dean Mystery. Martin was the daughter of an employee of a department store and the kindergarten teacher. Her first acting experience was at seven years old when her aunt, a nanny in Michael Landon's family, offered to help Martin to be a guest star on the 1982 television series Father Murphy. She began acting professionally after graduating Yale University. This led to her being offered major roles both in the television as well as the film industry. Martin is, in addition to being an actor, is also a skilled photographer and ballet dancer. Her sister who passed away of Lupus at the age of 19, was the inspiration behind her becoming the Lupus National spokesperson.
